Description

The Fiós ravine is a tributary of the river Batán which flows into the river Sil in Rabacallos. To get to the waterfall, we must take the road from Parada de Sil to Teixeira and then take the exit to Enteambosríos. Besides the waterfalls, there is another reason to come to this area, as here you can also visit a one-thousand year old chestnut tree, which is listed in the Galician Catalogue of Ancient Trees, which grants it special care and protection. It is a gigantic tree, approximately 700 years old, is 15 metres high, has a perimeter of more than 9 metres and is surrounded by a native forest in which you can find remains of traditional drying houses and mill houses.
