Casa O Cruceiro de Aguiar is a welcoming rural guesthouse located in Merza, Vila de Cruces, in the heart of Galicia, just 30 minutes by car from Santiago de Compostela.

The house, which dates back to before 1860, is part of an enclave with centuries of history: it once served as a tithe collection point along the medieval road leading to the Monastery of Carboeiro, of which it was originally a part. Today, lovingly restored by the acclaimed Galician architect and landscape designer Isabel Aguirre de Úrcola — winner of the National Architecture Award and the European Award for Intervention in Architectural Heritage — the house retains the authentic charm of traditional Galician stonework set within a privileged natural environment.
